VACANT POSITION : ENGLISH TEACHER FOR PRIMARY SCHOOL
Job Description
The english teacher will teach in primary school curriculum (from GS to CM2) and will follow the syllabus provided by the French Ministry of Education :

Be flexible in taking on substitute roles within the primary school, as needed.
The teacher will take part in meetings with teaching teams, work sessions, and all parent-teacher meetings organized by the school.
The expected skills are those defined in the professional competency framework for teaching staff (French Ministry of Education):
Type of contrat:
- Permanent contract under Dominican labor law, effective September 1, 2026.
- Full-time position of 27 hours per week in front of students during the school term
Starting gross salary
- Category B1: Certified teacher from the French Ministry of National Education or the private education sector employed in a teaching position – 120,000 DOP
- Category B2: Non-certified teacher holding a Master’s degree (Master 2) – 90,000 DOP
- Category B3: Non-certified teacher holding a Bachelor’s degree (Licence 3) – 82,000 DOP
Candidate profile
- Have at least two years of teaching experience in a school setting in the subject area of the position.
- Certification from the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MENESR) or from the private education sector is a plus.
- Experience in a school within the AEFE or MLF network would be an asset.
- Hold a dégrée recognized at a minimum of Bac+3 level (equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree or higher).
- Communication skills in French would be a plus.
